Charism
What are the essentials of the Dominican life? How do the Friars live? They are men of study, bound to the liturgy, to vowed life, to monastic discipline, and mobile. The Dominican is dedicated to truth, for God is truth.
Priest
By priestly ordination, Dominican priests are called to a special cooperation with the bishops in the work of preaching the Gospel by word and example and administering the sacraments of faith.
Cooperator Brother
Cooperator brothers are consecrated religious who share in the mission of the Order of Preachers, exercising the common priesthood in a manner specific to them.
Formation Process
The formation program is ultimately nothing more or nothing less than various Dominicans, in different roles, helping others to discern the Holy Spirit’s call in their lives and to learn how to respond to that call in terms of a religious life oriented toward preaching.
Vocations Weekend
A Vocation Weekend is a chance to spend time learning about the life of Dominican Friars in the Province of St. Joseph. Come pray with us, talk with our student brothers, meet our older brethren, and most of all listen for the voice of Jesus who continually calls men to become preachers for the salvation of souls.
