Our Work and Mission
The primary work and mission of the Shrine is to promote and further devotion to the Saints and to the Lord, particularly to St. Jude who has a reputation for intercessory power before God. Petitions are constantly remembered in the prayers and Masses offered here. The powerful intercession of St. Jude and the other saints brings these concerns before the throne of God day by day. Many of our friends report their blessings from God in their letters to us. I pray that you will be added to this long list of beneficiaries from Divine Providence through the presence of St. Jude before God for you.
Donations to the Shrine
After the expenses of promoting devotion to St. Jude and the other saints, are provided for, excess funds are used to assist in the support of St. Catherine Priory. The members of this 10 man community of men work at preaching, hospital ministry, sacraments and especially prayer. These services are made secure for the future by reason of your generosity when you share your resources with us.
St. Catherine’s Priory is part of the Dominican Order, the Order of Preachers, so we help to support a seminary where young men are trained for the priesthood. By reason of this connection we help to support foreign missions in Africa, Peru, the Solomon and Philippine Islands. So donations have a very useful and well rounded effect for the Church and for society.
