The Pontifical Faculty of the Immaculate Conception is an Ecclesiastical Faculty of Theology established in 1905 and granted Pontifical status in 1941. The present day faculty traces its roots to 1834, when the first American Dominican studium was formed in Somerset, OH. Although focusing primarily on preparing Dominican students for ministry, the Pontifical Faculty is open to all clergy, lay, and religious, and offers M.A., M.Div., S.T.B., and S.T.L. degree programs.
